A shortage of skilled workers has been a challenge for companies in all sectors for years. Fred Preuße, consultant at MEGALIFT, reports that they had no trainees as professional drivers for over two years. This changed in the current training year thanks to a successful recruiting offensive. In collaboration with a company from Münster, professional videos were produced to present the diverse working world of the crane specialist. The campaign was successful, with 63 applications for three apprenticeships.
MEGALIFT has had three more videos produced for the job profiles of professional driver, crane operator and assembly assistant. Fred Preuße emphasizes: "We received more than 250 applications", invited 130 applicants for interviews and finally hired 13 new employees. These include the three new trainees and two who will start their training in September.
